Joanna & Robert got married at the beautiful Preston Court which is a Kent Wedding Venue located close to Canterbury, Kent. Preston Court is a rural country house surrounded by ornamental lakes and gardens. The venue also has many beautiful features including a 17th century barnyard, carousel rides, steam engines and a beautiful moated island. There are 3x choices of venues at Preston Court to get married in including the intimate St Mildreds Church, The Kent Barn & on Juliana’s Island. Jo & Robert decided on St Mildred’s Church to exchange their vows and I have to admit this small church has some of the most dramatic lighting conditions I have ever shot within a church setting. After the ceremony Jo & Rob walked out of the church with all of their guests covering them in confetti before moving onto drinks and canopies on the lawn. Preston Courts most famous feature is its vintage carousel and later into the afternoon I got some great shots of Jo and her bridesmaids on the fairground ride. After this everyone made their way into the barnyard for the wedding breakfast and speeches. As the sun was setting Jo, Robert and I took a walk around the grounds of Preston Court and we took some beautiful portrait shots of them together as the tree’s around the grounds lit up golden and the light reflected off the lake. Just before I left for the day I got some intimate shots of Jo & Rob during their first dance, a beautiful moment as Jo’s Dad sang the first dance song for her.

We hired James for our wedding in August 2018 and he captured our day beautifully. The photos are amazing and we couldn't be happier with how they all came out. You only get one chance to picture your big day and thanks to James we have the most amazing photos to remember it by. Joanna & robert
