Including film & digital photographs from across the deserts of Utah, Arizona & Nevada, the Mountains of Colorado & Wyoming, the autumn forests of New England, the coastlines of Oregon & Washington State and the nostalgic streets of New York & LA.

Roys Motel & Cafe

Roys is located along the old Route 66 in the desert town of Amboy, California. Originally opened in 1938 by Roy Crowl as a gas & service station, during the 1940’s the site expanded into a small motel service for truckers, travellers & occasional party goers. Roy’s has been used in many films over the years including Kalifornia (starring Brad Pitt) and despite a major downturn over the last few decades has now been resurrected as a gas station & arts exhibiting site.

The 3 Brothers | Yosemite

The famous ‘3 brothers’ rock formation at Yosemite National Park in California. Photographed during the spring run off season at 6am as the sun was rising over the valley. The Mariposa Battalion named it the Three Brothers after the capture of the three sons of Chief Tenaya near the base of the rocks.

Midnight at the Maroon Bells | Colorado

The famous Maroon Bells mountain peaks in Colorado photographed just after midnight during the peak autumn colour season. This unique photograph is a luminosity blend of 3x consecutive long exposure images taken at exposure lengths of 25, 45 & 60 seconds in order to capture the full dynamic range of the dark scene. To capture this shot I used a fast 35mm lens at a 1.4 aperture with an iso setting of 3200.
